This vest is a beacon of hope, it features on its back the Arabic word “أمل” pronounced “Amal” meaning “Hope” in the center of a colorful patchwork.

I made this vest thinking about my home country Lebanon, Gaza, and the war in the middle east, about all the lives lost, the dreams shattered and the pain. It serves as a reminder to stay hopeful despite the heartache and the losses.

It’s made from preloved colorful quilts and fabric, and features a large front pocket. The vest has an oversized cut and can be closed with snap buttons. It’s thick and fully lined with cotton fabric.

An outstanding one of a kind piece with a message.

Please remember that vintage fabrics are pre-used and may show some signs of age.

Measurements : (can vary slightly)

  • 1- Back length: 55cm
  • 2- Front Length: 47cm
  • 3- Width: 59cm
  • 4- Collar drop: 11cm

All the measurements were taken with the garment laying flat and buttoned up. I recommend measuring something similar that you have and like the fit of. Measuring your body just tells you your actual measurements but it doesn’t take into account what level of ease you like in a garment.

Care Instructions – The garment has already been washed, and can be machine laundered with warm water on a delicate cycle, and air dried.
